The Port of Opua was a thriving wharf and railhead that serviced the many coastal traders, cargo vessels and cruise ships. Every year hundreds of foreign yachts and pleasure craft visit the Bay of Islands to cruise the pristine waters and view the beautiful scenery.

Harbour Suite and River Suite
The Harbour and River suites have their own private balconies with panoramic sea views of Opua, Waikare Inlet and the Kawakawa River. Both suites have king size beds, are spacious, private and tastefully decorated with antiques and collectibles from New Zealand and Asia. The décor includes New Zealand art and kiwiana, which depicts many images of the Bay of Islands. The Harbour suite has coastal scenes by Tony Ogle and the River suite has a selection of Frederick Hundertwasser's prints.

Garden Suite
The Garden suite is located downstairs and adjacent to the Garden unit. The garden suite is spacious, peaceful and private. The suite has a queen size bed, single bed, foldaway bed and private ensuite. The garden suite can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.

Garden Unit
The Garden unit is fully self-contained and has 2 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, lounge, and a well equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms have double beds. One of the rooms also has a set of bunks which are suitable for children. The unit can sleep up to 6 people.

Waterview Cottage
The cottage has excellent sea views of the Opua wharf and Waikare Inlet. It is a charming residence which captures the sun and sea views. With its 3 bedrooms, 2 lounges, kitchen, dining room and bathroom/laundry it is an ideal retreat for an extended family, couples or individuals. The cottage is comfortable and fully furnished, with TV, stereo, fridge, washing machine, crockery, cutlery and linen. The cottage is your typical "Kiwi Bach" (holiday home). Complete with its own large lawn, gardens and outdoor area, it is ideal for outdoor summer living. Sleeps up to 8 people.
